For 2024, the event has been re-christened the New Hampshire Hickory Open and is scheduled for July 11. Webster uses Low Gross and Net Stableford scoring in a bid to accommodate all players, who, to date, have come from all corners of the country.
Fee: $90
Schedule of Play: Tee times will begin at 10:00 a.m. with food beverage and awards following in the clubhouse bar restaurant.
Venue: Lake Sunapee CC is a private 1928 Donald Ross design in New London, NH. It is a great track. New London is a beautiful small college town about 90 minutes north of Boston and 35 minutes south of Dartmouth College / Hanover, NH and the VT border. Last July in the inaugural event we had 22 hickory players from 8 different US states play, which was very cool. LSCC must be worth it.
LSCC was also the summer home and club of The Squire Gene Sarazen in the last 30 ish years of his life. His memorabilia is around the clubhouse and grill. The club has some history and good hickory bones.
