Date: July 10th, 2021
After taking a year off due to COVID, the White Mountain Hickory Open is on again for 2021 at the beautiful Omni Mount Washington Resort. Eight tee times have been reserved starting at 10 a.m. sharp.
The fee is $95 and includes golf, cart and range balls. A practice round is available for the price of a cart rental, $30, for Friday, July 9. When calling the Pro Shop for a practice round tee time, please indicate you are participating in the White Mountain Hickory Open. Tee times for practice rounds will be available after 1 p.m. only.
There will be just one division and the format will be a point quota. Prizes will be awarded to low gross and first and second net. A SoHG or USGA handicap is required for net awards.
Please note the deadline to sign up is June 28. Email Jim Pucci directly to reserve your spot – email@example.com. Once the price per player is determined, the entry form will be available on this page. Jim will also email an entry form directly to those who signed up in advance. Entrants may pay by check or Paypal. If using Paypal, send payment to: firstname.lastname@example.org and use the “Friends and Family” option. If you would like to add a note, please enter “Hickory Open.” Then email me a scanned copy of your entry form with email address and handicap.
Come join us this July at one of the most enjoyable and beautiful places to play golf in New England. For those looking to extend their stay in the area, consider arriving a few days earlier than July 10 to play in another one day event in New London, N.H. The inaugural Lake Sunapee Hickory Classic will be played on July 8 at another Donald Ross gem. David Webster has reserved six tee times at this impeccably manicured private club. This event is also posted on the SoHG site.
We will operate under the assumption that social distancing measures will still be in place. I will communicate any changes that may occur either in the state of New Hampshire or at the resort.
Bretton Woods is easily accessible from three major airports for those planning to visit from outside the New England area. (Boston, Mass. – 2 hours 45 minutes; Manchester, N.H. – 1 hour 45 minutes; and Portland, Maine – 1 hour 45 minutes). North Conway, N.H. has the most to offer for lodging, shopping, and restaurants and is 30 minutes south of Bretton Woods.
